Small-Group Pilates
COHESION | MARKHAM & STOUFFVILLE
Strength + Balance for Everyday Life
Stay strong. Stay steady. Keep doing what you enjoy.
Pilates doesn’t have to look the same for everyone.
Whether you’re new to Pilates, prefer more support, or enjoy a more active approach, our small-group classes offer an opportunity to build strength, balance and movement control in a welcoming environment.
Why Pilates at Cohesion?
Small groups. More personal by design.
At Cohesion, we value thoughtful movement, personal attention and consistency. Our Pilates program brings these principles together through small-group classes designed to encourage learning, participation and regular movement.
With a maximum of six participants, there’s more opportunity for individual attention, clear instruction and exercise variations.
Find Your Way to Move
Two approaches. One goal.
Build strength, balance and movement confidence in a way that works for you.
Mat & Standing Pilates
Mat-Based & Standing Balance
Explore movement. Challenge your balance.
A Pilates class combining standing, kneeling and mat-based exercises to develop strength, stability and movement control. Exercises explore different movement patterns, coordination and balance challenges, with opportunities to build confidence through varied positions, floor transitions and controlled movements.
Pilates equipment, including sliders, rings, resistance bands, balls and BOSU balance trainer, may be incorporated to introduce different movements and challenges.
This may appeal to you if you:
- Enjoy exercising in a variety of positions.
- Are comfortable moving between standing and the floor.
- Want to explore strength, stability and balance through varied exercises.
- Prefer a class incorporating different movements and equipment.
Kneeling and floor-based exercises may be required as part of this class.
Chair-Supported Pilates
Seated & Supported Standing
Start where you’re comfortable. Build from there.
A Pilates class combining seated and supported standing exercises to develop strength, stability and movement control. Exercises incorporate chair support while exploring different movement patterns, coordination and balance challenges, with opportunities to build confidence through varied positions and controlled movements.
Pilates equipment such as rings, resistance bands, balls and BOSU balance trainers may be incorporated to add variety and movement challenges.
This may appeal to you if you:
- Are new to Pilates or returning after a long break.
- Prefer exercises with additional support.
- Find kneeling or getting up and down from the floor uncomfortable.
- Want to work on strength, balance and movement control without floor exercises.
No kneeling or floor exercises required.
